The

serve two purposes, first of all to act as the supply
source for the metallic ions needed for plating, and
second to assist in distributing the current being drawn
by the plating bath. Platinized titanium perforated
anodes allow the escape of gas bubbles forming on active
surface. The platinised titanium perforated anode surface
serves as a base for the electrocatalytic activation
layer.
